Local chapters are informal meetings organised in a country by alumni with the support of the EMBL Alumni Office and the EMBL Alumni Association. They offer alumni a platform to stay connected with EMBL and one another, and an opportunity to introduce their lab members to EMBL and the EMBL community. These meetings are open to all. Click on the image to the left for more information, and contact the Alumni Relations Office to organise a meeting in your country.
EMBL alumni reunions are held every 3-4 years. They are organised around other EMBL events such as the opening of a building or an anniversary. They are excellent opportunities to bring together staff and alumni over a stimulating science programme. Click on the image to the left to browse through former reunions and photo galleries.
EMBL alumni and staff are welcome to join our more than 1000 members on the LinkedIn EMBL alumni group to exchange information and resources, advertise job opportunities and endorse career skills. Please note that the alumni group on FaceBook has been archived for growing too large.
Since 2005, EMBL Alumni Relations has hosted a drinks reception for the EMBL and EMBO community at what used to be ELSO and is now The EMBO Meetings (TEM). This informal get-together offers the EMBL and EMBO community the opportuity to catch up over drinks, exchange information, reconnect with former colleagues and make new contacts. It is an excellent opportunity at an event which attracts a large number of our community.
